Alicia Burgess
“I was born in South Carolina, and I’ve been creating art since I was a child. I describe my work as a fusion of photorealism and fantasy, and my influences came from various cartoons, comics and video games. I work with traditional media, mostly oil painting. I enjoy oil painting because I find it relaxing and easy to use. I’ve also started to take an interest in digital art. I received my BA in web design and interactive media from the Art Institute of Pittsburgh Online and my MFA in visual development from the Academy of Art University Online. I have participated in and won several chalk walk contests.”
