Flora Cefalo
Flora Cefalo is an artist and illustrator who currently lives and works in Salerno, Italy.
She received her formal artistic training in painting at RUFA- Rome University of Fine Arts.
Love, beauty, strength and power are some of the many themes discussed in her work, which also comments on nature and the inner workings of women. Her most recent series of work seeks to illustrate, amplify, and bring light to these traits.
Flora prefers not to dwell on one aspect or a particular technique but instead believes in the importance of experimentation. It enables her to aim for and achieve a conclusion that satisfies her creatively and also meets the project’s needs.
“In every piece of mine is inserted a piece of my soul, but not only that. Every time I need to escape, to whatever is happening in or around me, I can count on art. It represents my warm and secure home. I hope that in some way it can be heard, even to a small extent, to those who observe it.”
