Anna Leonteva
Anna Leonteva is an artist based in Moscow, Russia. Educated at the V.Surikov Moscow State Academy Art Institute, she is now a member of the Moscow Union of Artists and often takes part in both group and solo exhibitions.
Inspired by scenes of everyday life, she transforms simple, commonplace events, bringing them alive on the page. In her series of work entitled ‘Speculations’, executed in acrylic paint, she wants to capture that moment, when everything stops, and there is only the artist, pondering on the future picture.
Anna has a particular interest in book illustration, and in 2019 she took part in a project illustrating a book about a well-known Russian cinematographer.
