Anastasia Smiyan
Anastasia Smiyan (Nastia) is a freelance designer and illustrator currently based in Kiev, Ukraine. Nastia became an artist as a means to devote her boundless energy, creative ideas and inspiration to improve the visual world with aesthetic, considered and beautiful design.
“I fell in love with abstract art, shapes and bright, eye-catching colours. So it isn’t surprising that my favourite artist is Matisse with his beautiful ‘Dance’ and ‘Blue Nudes.’’
Her interest and passion for design originally started as a hobby - writing letters and participating in post crossing. She even has her own seal for wax stamping.
“My passion is to experiment with shapes and colours. I adore creating branding identity, postcards and packaging. I always pay attention to the packaging of products in the supermarket.”
Anastasia enjoys producing short GIF animations to bring her vector works to life. She thinks that perseverance, patience and hard work are the essential elements for a brilliant designer.
