Sail
Sail is an illustrator, character designer, picture book author and animator. His illustrations depict a dreamlike fantasy world that is designed to stir positive emotions in the viewer. Banksy, Disney and Studio Ghibli inspire his work, which often merges surreal and cute elements to produce his characteristic aesthetic and subject matter.
From his studio in Tokyo, Sail produces work for a range of clients including book, magazine and internet publishers. He received his formal training in illustration at the graphic design department of Vantan Design Institute and has also earned an education qualification from Aoyama Gakuin University.
