Emil Fabio

Emil Fabio is a graphic designer and illustrator from Oslo, Norway.

His work often springs from translating written ideas into visual concepts, enabling impactful and clear communication. Through the use of organic textures and rough-edged brush and pen strokes, Emil’s bold and graphic artwork possesses a warmth and tactile quality that can often be lost when working with digital media. The nature of his work is perpetually evolving, but he always draws inspiration from skilful illustrators with a playful and experimental approach, such as Roman Muradov and Mari Kanstad Johansen.

He received his creative training working as a graphic design apprentice at an advertising agency, where he later worked at for approximately two and a half years. Today, Emil runs his creative practice, where he focuses on small-scale projects and helping his clients express their ideas visually.

Creativity brings him most joy when it’s framed by “values that require effort”, as a local painter once put it.
