Daniele Folegatti

Daniele Folegatti was born in Modena, Italy and has been drawing from childhood. As he grew older, this passion and the need to express himself through his art has only been confirmed. Set apart for his creativity and originality, he attended the Artistic High School of Modena and exhibited his work in a successful solo show as soon as he graduated.

Due to his love of cinematic and comic book characters, he attended a three-year course in comics and illustration at the International School of Comics in Reggio Emilia.

Daniele’s artistic production has been continuous and constant over the years, exploring new techniques including ballpoint pen and mixed media, often using crayons, oil chalks and china markers.

His works are meticulously crafted in every detail and dense with symbolic and narrative meaning. Under a magnifying glass, the viewer can enjoy the beauty, craftsmanship and intricate detail characteristic of Daniele’s work. He produces illustrations whenever his creativity strikes, delighting in sharing ideas, explosions of colours and creating new contrasts to bring joy to his audience.

“My need to express myself with my disabilities arises from a strong sensitivity and anxiety of living, which are manifested in my works.”
