X I U 秀敏
秀敏 , aka XIU, is a freelance illustrator whose creative practice is hugely influenced by Japanese anime and American comic culture.
XIU likes to challenge herself to experiment with different styles and themes. At the same time, she often returns to her study of traditional and digital art techniques, updating styles as she charts her course through the art world. Relying on her autodidactic abilities and her passion for Japanese anime popular culture, XIU channels a rich web of references and motifs into her vivid design style.
XIU currently resides in Hong Kong. In addition to maintaining an active artistic practice, XIU is also an undergraduate student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
