Chris Rathbone

Chris Rathbone is a freelance illustrator with a background in graphic design and art direction. He loves capturing emotion and energy in his illustrations, and he is known to use bold colour palettes to enhance the visual impact of his work. His purely vector-based illustrations are perfect for digital and analogue media and can also be used to create animations and motion graphics. 

Based in Southsea, Hampshire, Rathbone earned a degree in graphic design and devoted many years to the practice before committing to a career as a full-time freelance illustrator. Some of the clients he has created work for include Formula 1, NBA, Formula E, W Series, DTM, the Grand National, Tour De France, Ferrari, Red Bull and Puma. He has created illustrations for magazines such as CAR Magazine, Top Gear and Match of the Day. Chris has also been commissioned by a publishing house to illustrate a series of sports-related books.
