Kamila Ziółek
From her earliest days of artistic exploration, Polish artist Kamila Ziółek has held a passion for drawing unique and original people. Using alcohol markers and fine-tip felt pens, Ziółek has been known to approach strangers she discovers on the street and ask for their permission to draw a portrait of them. The freshness of such likenesses resonates through her work and reminds the viewer of the sheer energy that Ziółek brings to her art.
Born in Warsaw, Ziółek completed a degree in graphic design at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology as well as a degree in journalism with the University of Warsaw. Alongside her work as a comic-book style drawing teacher, she often runs workshops on drawing with alcohol markers at the Studio in Warsaw. She has contributed to projects based as far afield as Pennsylvania, United States.
