Paloma Saltorio Viguini
For artist Paloma Saltorio Viguini, art is about connections: those between audience and artist; between maker and object; and between human emotions. Seeking ultimate clarity in her work, Viguini aims to broadcast a message of love and intellect, as if metaphorically reaching out to each viewer of her work to encourage them to look, to think, and to be changed forever.
Currently based in Espírito Santo, Brazil, Viguini developed her skills as an artist while studying product design at the University of Vila Velha. She has also undertaken courses in illustration and studio art at Arcane School of Art and the Centro Culturale SESC Glória, one of the leading cultural centres within the Brazilian state that is devoted to all modes of artistic expression. She has enjoyed the opportunity to showcase her work in that venue on two occasions. In addition to exhibitions, Viguini has also published an illustrated book that was derived from a college project that dissected the strength and differences of womankind.
