Sophia Raia
Sophia Raia is a New York-based artist striving to blend her two passions of art and science through depictions of the human form. She was trained in a variety of media by Oogie Art in NYC and Tula Telfair in Connecticut. Sophia has chosen to focus on digital illustration, ranging from abstract line drawings to detailed colour-block portraits. She is the recipient of numerous national and regional awards and enjoys creating custom prints and logos.
Sophia recently received her BA in Neuroscience & Behavior with a minor in Art History from Wesleyan University in Connecticut, USA and is pursuing an MS in Physiology & Biophysics at Georgetown University in Washington DC, USA. As she works towards her medical degree, Sophia is certain that the pairing of art and science will be forever intertwined in her life.
