Keiichi Tsuchiya (Kuronabe-tei)
Keiichi Tsuchiya, also known by the nickname Kuronabe-tei, is a freelance illustrator currently residing in Osaka, Japan. Although he has no formal design training, he learned various techniques from his father, a graphic designer, who is one of his great inspirations. Keiichi also finds inspiration in his mother, friends and the work of cartoonists Shigeru Mizuki and Osamu Tezuka.
He states of his creative process that, “I work through a process of observation, sublimation and then transformation through drawing software such as Adobe Photoshop CC and Clip
Studio Paint.
Keiichi specialises in developing branding collateral for the hospitality industry, corporate portraits and editorial illustrations for company newsletters and educational resources.
