Mayuki Oikawa
Mayuki Oikawa (b.1990) loves creating illustrations of people to convey a storyline or describe an emotional moment. Her work is characterised by the use of vivid colour palette and accomplished use of line and texture.
Notable recent projects include creating illustrations for Muji’s global 2020 summer campaign. She has produced EP covers, illustrations for magazines, cosmetic packaging, postcards and posters. Mayuki’s clients are predominantly culture and travel magazines. She also works for a range of corporate clients producing advertising collateral. Mayuki hopes to illustrate book jackets and film posters in the future and welcomes opportunities from new clients.
She studied graphic design and illustration at Tama Art University, Japan. After graduating in 2013, she founded her freelance studio and began regularly exhibiting her work. Her illustrations have been shown in art galleries and book fairs throughout Japan and Asia. She resides in her hometown of Kanagawa, Japan.
