Cira Bhang
An intuitive layering of line, colour, shape, brushstrokes and mixed media harmoniously work together in the compelling abstract artworks of Cira Bhang, an Indonesian-born artist based in France.
She has obtained a Bachelor of Arts majoring in interior design, Faculty of Art and Design, National Institute of Technology, Indonesia.
The scope of inspiration for her work is diverse. Influences can be found in Joan Miró, Henri Matisse, Le Corbusier, Helen Frankenthaler, as well as contemporary practising artists such as Miroco Machiko and Lisa Congdon.
The themes explored within her bright, graphic and contemporary artwork can be as simple as her everyday life, or at times, as complex as being a woman and wife.
