Marylene Bernardo
Specialising in collage and illustration, British artist Marylene Bernardo (who also goes by Deother Luna) offers a body of work saturated in bright colours and abstract shapes. Her portraits particularly exude a vibrant energy and reveal the universally fun and playful approach that she brings to her artistic practice. At the same time, they bear such light-heartedness; they also reveal her profound skill and innovative voice in the contemporary art scene.
Based in London, UK, Bernardo has devoted much of her career to refining her skills while also accentuating them with the embrace of new techniques and extended compositional series. She has recently completed an extensive body of works entitled “Lava”. With this now complete, Bernardo has transitioned to working on a new series of illustrations called “Layers” and looks forward to soon work with oil paints. Bernardo is an independent artist and welcomes commissions from those who see the real power of her aesthetic approach.
