Doria Kriouche
Parisian artist Doria Kriouche draws inspiration from Asian culture and artists including Zao Dao and Shigeru Mizuki. She is particularly inspired by Japan’s cities and landscapes, as well as Japanese engravings. “I want to create artwork that comments and reflects on my unique vision of this country in an aesthetic that mixes tradition and modernity.”
Her vividly coloured artworks are characterised by their graphic aesthetic and fantastical subject matter.
Doria leverages China ink and watercolour paint to produce her artwork. These particular types of media allow her to develop and execute the intended atmosphere she builds within her work.
Currently, Doria plans to continue to produce artwork for children’s literature as well as the publication and communications industries.
