Jenny Bennett
Jenny Bennett, nee McLellan, was born and raised in rural New Zealand. She moved to Whangarei after gaining an M.A. (Hons) in Anthropology.
Bennett has explored a wide range of media and techniques but is primarily an oil painter. After several years of painting mainly landscapes, 2017 saw Bennett began a new series of work exploring flora, which in turn led to her present fascination with paisley.
She has participated in national and international exhibitions including shows in Italy, the USA and London. Her work has won various art awards and commissions; and she has served on arts boards, judging panels and in mentoring programmes.
