Lee Pierce
Abstract painter Lee Pierce draws inspiration for her work from natural environments and wildlife. Her works are produced using acrylic paint on canvas, as well as a combination of gouache, ink and watercolour paint on bespoke handmade papers. The resulting works are captivating paintings rich in texture, constructed by the layering of bold geometric forms.
After a successful career in television, and graduating law school in the early ‘90s, Lee’s attention is now focused on her career as an artist. Lee is primarily self-taught but has also benefited from training in classes at a School of a Museum of Fine Arts; painting workshops; and an art colony. She has also received mentorship and experience in international art fairs, juried art exhibitions, and representation by art galleries.
Lee currently works and resides in Central Illinois.
