Tamara English
In her work, Tamara English explores themes of awakening to the presence of the divine, re-enchantment, and nature as a catalyst for discovering the sacred in life. Her oil paintings reference the natural world and different cultures as a way to expand one’s sense of reality, inviting us to enter a contemplative state. Each painting invites well-being and upliftment, and the discovery of the magical, mystical and alchemical in everyday life. English’s work has been exhibited extensively in the US and internationally, including at the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Seattle Art Museum. She recently received an award from the Ford Family Foundation. Her work is widely collected. She lives and works in Portland, Oregon, USA.
