Kaitlyn Heriford
Exploring the expansive bounds of abstraction in her expressive and colourful canvases, American artist Kaitlyn Heriford employs mixed media techniques to channel the beauty she finds in the world around her. Driving her practice is her fascination with light and how paint can play on the surface of a composition. These are the very elements that combine to transform each of her works into a dazzling visual display.
Calling Lansing, Michigan, home, Heriford graduated in 2017 from Michigan State University with both a Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Humanities and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Studio Art. Since then she has maintained an active exhibition calendar, including her 2019 solo exhibitions, Child of Light and Note to Self. Her work has also been featured in the House & Garden magazine.
