René Meyer (rmyr)
For over a decade René Meyer, aka rmyr has dedicated himself to creating filigree stencils with a focus on complex industrial architecture and urban landscapes instead of figurative motives. He painstakingly cuts all of his complex multi-layered stencils traditionally by hand. As a contemporary stencil artist, he experiments with various materials and the stencils itself. He is always searching for new aesthetics by playing around with concepts and combinations to push stencil art a bit further — which leads to different styles and aesthetics in his series.
He has participated in several urban art events in Germany and internationally. He exhibits in various solo and group exhibitions around the world. In addition to his studio pieces, he is also getting more active and visible on the streets.
