Kayla Midkiff

Kayla Midkiff began abstract painting as a way to enable her to communicate her abstract thoughts and emotions tangibly. She describes her abstract pieces as a personal representation of herself. The development of her creative process has allowed Kayla to connect with others who can understand her art without much explanation, and who intuitively comprehend the messages she conveys. Kayla says that she “never knew a form of communication that felt so genuine.” 

Kayla wants her art to actively make a difference in the world. Using organisations that she truly believes in as inspiration, she has found a way for her art to help educate and share their mission. Her portrait work expresses her connection to the natural world and her commitment to supporting the welfare of humanity, nature and wildlife.
