Rob Koetter
Since retiring from his career as a creative designer, Rob Koetter has had the opportunity to pursue his passion full time as an artist, specifically working with acrylic paints, his preferred medium. Inspired by art at an early age while growing up in Central Illinois, Rob was mentored by a local artist, Lester Chase. He graduated from Illinois State University with a degree in Visual Communications and Photography.
Since moving to the Nature Coast in Florida in 2013, Rob has focused full time on his realistic paintings, often modelled after photography that he has taken in the local area. He explains,
“As an artist, I focus on realistic paintings and I bring them to life with my imagination.”
Rob’s favourite creative niche involves paintings of alcoholic drinks infused with content suitable for mature audiences.
Throughout the years, Rob has exhibited his paintings at Illinois State University Union & Auditorium in Normal, Illinois, About the House Art Gallery in Bloomington, Illinois, and Ivy Tech Community College in Sellersburg, Indiana in an instructor exhibit. Recently, he has previewed his latest paintings at Ricardo Design Gallery, Florida.
