Tamara Nelson

American painter Tamara Nelson has upended how commercial and hospitality locations acquire art: instead of designers trying to find art to fit their project, Tamara works directly with the designers to create pieces to fit their vision. She uses room concepts, fabrics, and finishes as inspiration to create art tailored to each individual project and to make the designer’s vision come to life. Whether it is for one original piece or guestrooms with thousands of components, Tamara’s body of work adds colour and movement to any space. 

Her current focus is on the creation of a 4,500-piece series to be showcased in the newly-remodelled guestrooms of the Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Her work has been featured in World of Interiors, GQ, and House & Garden. Her work has also been exhibited at Newport Beach California’s City Hall Art Exhibition, Sares Regis Seacliff Huntington Beach, Golden Gaming Corporate offices, Tag Gallery Los Angeles, and numerous private and corporate collections. Tamara also owns a private commercial gallery dedicated to showing the archive of her artwork located on the Pacific Coast HWY in Laguna Beach.
