Magalie Rouzaud
Magalie Rouzaud is a French illustrator and surface designer who specialises in publishing, decoration, textile design and stationery.
She currently resides in Nantes and is a graduate of the city’s Higher School of Applied Arts, Pivaut. Her extensive training has provided Magalie with a versatile skillset, and she uses traditional techniques to create her elegant, colourful works. She often draws by hand using a variety of materials including gouache, coloured pencils, watercolours, oil painting and ink.
Her creative practice is motivated by her imagination, unique personality and her desires. She is inspired by the soothing and poetic elements of nature, particularly by the plants that inhabit her colourful universe. Magalie says, “The beauty of nature never fails to awe, inspire and leave one feeling truly at peace.”
The illustrations that she creates are full of meaning, symbolism and significance, designed to appeal to a broad range of audiences. She welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with clients and artists from around the world.
