Heylie Morris
Self-taught artist and designer Heylie Morris is the creative force behind homewares, jewellery and art prints studio, Vixen Designs. She is also the managing director and owner of her screen printing business which she has now been operating for 17 years.
Heylie describes her paintings as “dancing the line between abstract & realism”. Australian fauna, in particular, the Black Cockatoo are regular subjects in her acrylic paintings. Her chosen subject matter resonates strongly with Australiana collectors, and she has amassed an extensive network of local and international collectors and retail stockists.
Her work is featured on the front cover of the Thames & Hudson Cockatoo Book, along with being featured in Stolen Publications. Heylie has completed a RAW Arts Exhibition (Melbourne) in 2016 and released a collaborative Vixen Designs X CottonOn Tee series for the T Bar Express Yourself range. She is also the first prize winner of the Wildlife category at the Casterton Art Show in 2018 and 2019.
Having received formal training in both textile production and visual arts, Heylie has a well-rounded arsenal of highly developed creative skill sets she can leverage in her work.
She currently resides in Victoria, Australia and continues to explore abstract flora and fauna in her work.
