Channelling much of her ethos into the art she creates, American artist Victoria Phillips aims to create a rich web of metaphorical connections and allusions that push viewers of her works into a tantalizing, transcendental state. Phillips is fascinated by the illusions and physicality of the painted surface and she infuses this fascination throughout her oeuvre.

Phillips earned her B.A. in Visual Arts in 2013 from Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee, and subsequently completed her M.F.A. in Painting at Savannah College of Art and Design in 2019. She has been involved in numerous exhibits throughout the United States and also expanded her reach internationally by partaking in an artistic residency in Skopelos, Greece, in 2019. Today, Phillips is based in Atlanta, Georgia, where, in addition to maintaining a studio at Mutiny Artwrx, she also serves as a part-time Assistant Professor at Kennesaw State University and a full-time Visual Art Educator.
